This enthralling museum, established in 1893, is chock-full of interesting exhibits covering everything from ancient Egypt to insects and the animal kingdom. Explore the museum's well-planned galleries to see wonders of the animal world like birds, mammals and reptiles from around the globe. Visit the sparkling Gem Gallery and stroll through the interesting Plants of the World exhibit. Time travel back to the days of the ancient Mayans, Egyptians and Native Americans and discover their unique cultures and art. Enjoy an exciting 3D movie experience in the Ernst & Young Theater or check out one of the museum's latest special exhibitions. And make sure to visit Sue - the museum's most famous resident and the world's largest and most complete T-Rex skeleton. Pick up souvenirs at one of three gift shops or take a break and enjoy a meal at the on-site McDonald's. The museum is open daily from 9am-5pm (except Christmas Day).
