2015 Chicago Festivals: Northalsted Market Days Festival
A beloved summer tradition now in its 34th year, you still have time to plan your visit to Chicago to attend Northalstead Market Days. Visitors come from every corner of the country, gathering in the Midwest to share amazing food, drink, entertainment, art, and culture. You can't miss this giant get-together when you head to Halsted between Belmont and Addison. Once you arrive, you can take part in what's been called the largest two-day street festival in the region. This year's festivities will take place the weekend of August 8-9, 2015.
During the two-day extravaganza, shop for souvenirs to bring home from a wide variety of vendors, explore local artwork and creative crafts, and taste-test specialty foods and cold drinks. The all-day amusements will get underway at 11 a.m. each morning and continue until 10 p.m. Musicians will perform back-to-back throughout the day, with performances by notable musical acts such as En Vogue, Melanie Martinez, Aaron Carter, Salt-N-Peppa, All 4 One, and C+C Music Factory. In addition to these well-known names, listen to local bands up-and-coming in the indie music circuit.
In addition to all of this nonstop family fun, Chicago will also be hosting the annual hot dog fest just a short drive away. The perfect time of year to plan an exciting family vacation, visit the Windy City to experience local culture with festive flair.
