Get away from the kids and get to The Lincoln Park Zoo's Adults Night Out!
We all know and agree that visiting The Lincoln Park Zoo is awesome. But if there's anyway your visit could get better it would have to be their Adults Night Out! July 21 from 6:30-10pm is your opportunity to get away from the kids for an evening and check out the zoo after the gates close. This 18+ event allows for a unique experience in the park with special talks about the zoo's animals, a photography exhibition, live entertainment, discounts at the gift shop, and cash bars throughout the entire zoo! Think about it: no kids, no crowds, all the while having a beer and hanging out with the chimpanzees.
One of the highlights of this event- aside from some time away from the kids(!)- is an opportunity to learn more about the animals that call the zoo their home. There are some special talks scheduled all throughout the night and all across the zoo. Be sure to check out the Chilean flamingo chat where you get the opportunity to gush over baby chicks (who were the first to be born at the zoo), find out what dwarf crocodiles eat, learn about the chimpanzees as they get ready for bed, and don't miss the jaguars as they get a late night treat after the sun goes down.
The evening is of course complete with food and beverages accessible throughout the zoo. And don't forget about the booze- beer and wine is available at special cash bars. Feel like mingling with others? Be sure to check out the centrally located beer garden. Here's a map and the schedule of events for the evening. See you there!
