Family Friendly Events at Navy Pier: Winter WonderFest

14th Annual Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier
December 5, 2014 - January 11, 2015

The Winter WonderFest is jam-packed with exciting rides and festive activities for the whole family. True to its name, the seasonal celebration offers a full holiday extravaganza. Here 25+ theme park attractions meet yuletide cheer.

Lace up a pair of skates, and glide around the Chicago Blackhawks Indoor Ice Skating Rink. Take the Arctic Plunge to slide down the base of an inflatable polar bear and penguins. Tower 16 feet overhead in the Candy Cane Lighthouse, something the little ones will love to do. All of this fun is taking place at Navy Pier, easily accessible from our Chicago hotel via public transit or a short taxi ride.

Ready to get your adrenaline pumping?  Adventurers can soar 40 feet into the air on the Cliff Hanger. Spin round and round in the Wonder Whirl, or twist like a top on the Zero Gravity ride. For a slower pace, check out the Craft Corner presented by the Museum of Science and Industry. The all-age activity center invites guests to decorate a personalized craft keepsake. Other interactive options include building your own cookie in Pepsi's cottage.

The winter wonderland has it all. Reach the top of the Ferris Wheel for panoramic views of the entire event. Admire the magnificent 42-foot tree, the centerpiece sparkling with colorful lights.  Like in past years, attendees can have an impromptu photo-op with Holiday Howdy Horse and visit with Santa. The kids can also climb through obstacle courses, travel around the holiday village display by train ride, and ride the Kringle Carousel.

New to the indoor event this year, be sure to check out Wintertube, the Toboggan Tunnel, Mini Golf, and SnowGlobe Live. Buy your admission tickets at winterwonderfest.com, and save with your online purchase.
