Mexican Independence Day Celebration in Chicago's Little VillageCelebrate Mexican heritage and culture this fall at Festival de La Villita, a three-day community event that commemorates Mexican Independence Day. Featuring a dynamic selection of live performances from local and international stars, this festive celebration features something for the whole family. Along with music and entertainment, you'll find carnival rides and games for both children and adults. Over 100 vendors will be selling a wide range of authentic food, Mexican sweets, drinks and craft items. The fun culminates on Sunday afternoon, when the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade funnels into the festival for one final day of excitement. It all goes down from September 12 to 14 in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.
