Find your way to a floral showcase with beautiful bouquets, gorgeous gardens and vibrantly colored blossoms. Each year, the Macy's Flower Show brings folks to State Street to celebrate the return of springtime. After so many months bundled up, this spring event is a welcome return to warm weather and life in bloom.
If you're visiting Chicago from out of town, you'll have several days to see these stunning nature scenes. Between March 24th and April 7th, a full calendar of events will draw crowds to the iconic department store. Head to the cosmetics department on the first floor to find out what the Bouquet of the Day is. As a predominant theme, be sure to visit The Painted Garden, a special spot highlighting the cultures of India and the Middle East through the senses with dazzling hues, fragrant aromas, and delicate textures.
Take the escalator up to the 9th floor to go behind the scenes of Macy's on Fridays& Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Head to the Events Center to get more information about plant descriptions and other relevant details. This new knowledge may just plant the seed for what you can grow in your own garden. The 5th floor will be brimming with kid-friendly activities, including a reading group and the Brookfield Zoo Dinosaur Exhibit.
As part of the festive spring fun, you can attend Macy's Bunny Breakfast, an Easter-themed brunch buffet. You can also check out the many cooking demos, meet floral designers, listen to live music, take a painting class, or explore the extraordinary Artist Marketplace.
